About The Church

The Church is an Australian alternative rock band formed in Sydney in 1980. Their style blends dreamy guitar, neo-psychedelia, post-punk, and dream pop. They’re best known for songs like “Under the Milky Way,” “Reptile,” “The Unguarded Moment,” and “Almost With You.” Winners of ARIA Single of the Year in 1989 and inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2010. Their 26th album, The Hypnogogue, was released in February 2023, followed by a companion album, Eros Zeta and the Perfumed Guitars, in March 2024. Their latest single is “Sacred Echoes (Part Two)” (Nov 2025).
